Awards go to not only the fastest runner but the runner who knows exactly how quickly he can finish those 3.1 miles. The run will take place on March 9, 2013 and we’ll be celebrating as it’s the 36th anniversary of this event. The race will begin from the famous restaurant and run a lovely route through downtown and around the Civic Center before finishing up at the restaurant just in time for Irish Wakes and a proper Irish celebration!

Pensacola Beach is quickly becoming known for its delicious food festivals along the boardwalk including the Pensacola Beach Oyster Festival! Be sure to book your Gulf Coast vacation and visit Peg Leg Pete’s for this annual event.

The Oyster Festival is now in it’s fourth year and has expanded to a two day event that will take place the first weekend in March. Then Pensacola Beach Run is presented by the Pensacola Runners Association and will take place along our beautiful Northwest Florida beach on January 12, 2013. This race has several components including half-marathon, 10K and 5K courses. The 10K and 5K course is a “pick your distance” meaning you can decide during the race if you’re in it for the long haul or make the turn early to head back in. The race will take place at Casino Beach and follow a scenic route, making your 3.2, 6.4 or 13.1 miles a breeze.
