Christmas on the Forgotten Coast!
Mr. and Mrs. Claus love to vacation on the Gulf Coast and, on December 1, 2012, they’ll be enjoying their annual visit to the Forgotten Coast. Come on out for Christmas on the Coast and help welcome them back to Port St. Joe, Florida!
Christmas on the Coast is a full day of fun in downtown Port St. Joe. Kick off your day at the SaltAir Farmer’s Market. Not only will you find fresh, local produce, but a selection of homemade holiday items, including ornaments and crafts, that will make the perfect souvenir or gift. There will even be facepainting for the kids! Save room for lunch while shopping all the delicious items at the market because, at noon, the annual Junior Service League Chili Cookoff begins. Not only will you want to hang out and taste as much as you can, but also enjoy the ponie rides and live music.

The Bow Wow Bash
Reserve one of our pet-friendly condos or beach homes in Port St. Joe, Florida for the annual Bow Wow Bash. This event is especially for animal lovers and will benefit the local humane society.
The Bow Wow Bash will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 6-10PM and is an awesome way to enjoy the Halloween spirit while benefitting a wonderful organization. Come on out to the Contennial Building for this fun, festive masquerade party. Costumes are encouraged as there will be plenty of contests to enjoy as well as food, dancing, auctions and cash bar.
Tickets are just $30 the night of the event and proceeds benefit local animals in need. Pack your most spook-tacular costumes and we’ll see you at the party!
Have A Blast on the Bay
Blast on the Bay may only be in its fourth year but it has quickly become one of the biggest events on the Forgotten Coast. If you love live music, make your reservations for a vacation in Mexico Beach or a stay in a Port St. Joe vacation rental now.
Blast on the Bay is a songwriters’ festival that brings some of the best songwriters, as well as up and comers, to our area. Most of the come directly from the streets of Nashville and bring with them new, unique sounds that you’re sure to hear on the radio soon, if you aren’t already. Many have writtern songs for some of your favorite artists already!
The festival opens October 19, 2012 and continues through October 21, 2012. The writer’s will play their tunes for you at several local venues including favorites such as Toucan’s, The Haughty Heron and the Indian Pass Raw Bar, as well as many others. The Mexico Beach Art & Wine Festival
It’s once again time for the art and wine festival in Mexico Beach, a favorite Forgotten Coast event now in its fourteenth year.
The Mexico Beach Art & Wine Festival will be held at the lovely Driftwood Inn on October 6, 2012 and entry is just $5 per person. This event features a variety of entertainment, food, live and silent auctions, fine wines and, of course, regional and local art. The wine festival begins at 2PM. Come sip and see the art before awards are announced at 3PM. Live auctions will begin at 5PM.

The 2012 Beach Blast
It’s once again time for one of our favorite athletic events on the Gulf Coast, the Beach Blast Triathlon! Pack your sneakers and make your way down for a vacation on the Forgotten Coast during this great event.
Beach Blast takes place between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe at Beacon Hill Park meaning any of our vacation rentals on the Forgotten Coast will be perfect for you. The event consists of a swim, bike ride down the coast and run along the beach. The Beach Blast offers several levels, as well, so that every athlete can participate. You will even find there is a duathlon option, which entail two runs and a bike ride. Register for this great race, make your reservations with us and we’ll see you at the finish line!
The 2012 Scallop Festival!
Big names and great food are waiting for you on the Forgotten Coast when you vacation in Port St. Joe this August. That’s right, it’s once again time for the annual Scallop Festival!

This delicious little mullusks are not only fun to dive for and collect, they’re scrumptious to dine on. They have inspired a pretty fun festival along the way, too. The 16th annual Scallop Festival in Port St. Joe will take place August 3-4, 2012 and welcome many great musicians including Aaron Tippin.
Along with the live entertainment you will also be able to enjoy arts and crafts vendors, educational exhibits, the Kid’s Zone and, of course, scallops! Fish The Off-Shore Classic

A fishing tournament on the Forgotten Coast that is becoming widely known is the Off-shore Classic that happens at the end of each July. Come out for the kick-off party happening at Toucan’s, a favorite local restaurant in Mexico Beach, before heading out for two days of exciting fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
