A Party So Nice, Celebrate Twice!
One of the coolest things about taking a Gulf Coast vacation for New Year’s Eve is the option to ring in the next year not once, but twice. That’s right, when you vacation to the Forgotten Coast, you can party in the Eastern and Central time zones.
Whether you choose a Mexico Beach condo or Port St. Joe vacation rental for your Northwest Florida vacation, you can enjoy parties in both towns thanks to the free trolley system. The parties around town will kick off at 8PM and all you have to do is make your way to one of the designated trolley stops, seen here, to park and ride throughout the night. Visit hot spots such as Mango Marley’s, Toucan’s, and the Thirsy Goat through out the evening. After you celebrate in Mexico Beach, jump aboard the trolley and make your way over to Port St. Joe for the Central Time Zone new year.
Fireworks displays will also happen not once, but twice. Port St. Joe will light the sky at 10PM EST while Mexico Beach will usher in 2013 with their display at midnight, eastern time.
