Health & Fitness in Forgotten Coast

Health and Fitness on The Forgotten Coast

A wonderful destination to become in balance, the Forgotten Coast relies mainly on the beautiful outdoors to act as your personal gym. While most of our vacation rentals in Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach and WindMark Beach have access to on-site fitness facilities, the trails and waterways offer a more natural way to get and stay fit. Play tennis in the park, ride bicycles in our coastal neighborhoods, jog along paths and kayak in the Gulf and Bay, vigorously exploring the scenic side of the Forgotten Coast.

Biking, swimming and jogging are probably the most popular fitness regimes. Showcasing these sports, each fall the Forgotten Coast is home to the annual Beach Blast II – Sprint and Olympic Triathlon & Duathlon in Beacon Hill Park along Highway 98, between Mexico Beach and Port. St. Joe.

To unwind after a busy day of activity, we do have a spa, only one for now, but another coming soon at WindMark Beach. As the inspired town develops, yoga on the beach is a real possibility!
