Outdoor Fun ~ Things to Do in South Walton Beach
While the Beaches of South Walton may be best known for its relaxing atmosphere, our area boasts some wonderful outdoor activities to complement the serene surroundings. Paddleboard in one of our Costal Dunes Lakes or if more adventurous, try in the Gulf of Mexico. Surf lessons at the beach are a must for children of all ages to learn an appreciation of the waves and this art form. It’s fun, too. If tennis is your game, try one of Southern Resorts’ properties with it as an amenity. Biking and kayaking are probably the most popular activities other than swimming in our beach communities. They make for wonderful family time on vacation, too. With the 30A bike path and state parks along the way, there are plenty of places to bike.
If still you want a little more action our Miramar beach community, closer to Destin, offers wave runner and sailing rentals from the beach. Parasailing is another fun pastime. Let a boat pull you as you dangle from 100+ feet enjoying one of the best views of our coastline.
