Camp Helen State Park On the west end of Panama City Beach, Camp Helen features coastal dunes, salt marshes, freshwater wetlands and sand pine scrub for hiking, fishing and swimming. 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway

Shell Island – Spend a day on Shell Island, uncovering hundreds of beautiful shells left as the tides rise and fall. This pristine island lies between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay and is one of the most densely populated bottle-nosed dolphins habitats, too. Tours are available.

St. Andrews State Park – This 1.5 mile stretch of beach has been a long time favorite spot for surfers, snorkelers and hikers. It is here that the Gator Trail allows you to spot the Florida alligator or happen upon some of the most unique species of herons and egrets.

Visit these nearby state parks in Walton County, just west of Panama City Beach. Deer Lake State Park, Eden Gardens State Park, Grayton Beach State Park, Point Washington State Forest and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
