Waterscape #522A ~ Okaloosa Island Vacation Rental

The condo was upscale and clean. We were very comfortable and had a wonderful time. With so many pools, you didn't even need the beach! Loved it!

We enjoyed this trip more than any other one to Florida. The condo was nice and was perfect for what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean had everything we needed for are stay Resort was great clean beaches and lots of room around the pools to relax The big pool was to cold to really enjoy.

This was our second stay at Waterscape a522 thru Southern Resort. We stayed this time 10 days. And it went by too fast. It felt like 5 days. This condo is in the perfect spot to see everything. It is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Anything we needed Southern Resort was quick in getting it done. Look forward to staying again next year in same condo.

MAKING OUR RESERVATIONS WAS EASY AND A GREAT PRICE. OUR CONDO WAS VERY NICE. THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND ALSO WERE THE AMENITIES. THE POOLS WERE AWESOME. IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN THE KIDDY POOL IS GREAT! JUST DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING. IT WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO YOU. LEFT A FEW PIECES OF CLOTHING AND HOUSEKEEPING KEPT THEM. DENIED THAT THEY WERE LEFT THERE. MY LOST!! BUT, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS PERFECT!!! WILL GO BACK!!!!!!! SOUTHERN RESORTS WAS AWESOME TOO!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waterscape. Our room had a great 5th floor view overlooking the interior pools and reasonable view of the ocean. The rooms were nicely decorated, we definitely made full use of the fully stocked kitchen, although there are tons of great seafood restaurants nearby. We actually went to eat out around 4:30-5:00 and always had great service and outdoor, beach view seating! The pools were great, with variety from kiddy areas to more traditional swimming areas; the lazy river was modest but fun. The workout room had good equipment with a great view overlooking the pool area; we used it several times and it was never too crowded. The ocean front was beautiful, and the property staff was out there at 8 am putting out chairs, umbrellas. However, only two chairs and one umbrella come per room, would have to rent more. Also, front row filled up quickly - although they did take away some towels and open up chairs when people tried to "reserve" them but not stick around. Pool area chairs also went quickly - pretty amazing how many towels on chairs at 9 am but not that many people in the pool yet (!). We would start off at the beach in the morning, then move to the pool areas, and could usually find open chairs. The ocean water was beautiful, almost perfect temperature (cool initially them very comfortable). We saw a few jellyfish but had no incidents. There's also finely chopped seaweed in the surf - you see it in the water but don't really feel it. Overall we were very please with this property, as we took three daughters ages 9, 11, and 18. We will probably come back in a few years for our next visit to the emerald waters of the Florida panhandle!

Wonderful place to take kids. Only complaint was our bed. Not very comfortable and sorry southern resorts, if we stay again, we will prob use resortquest. Seems like they offer their guests more benefits, like free movies and vacation coupons/specials that were not provided to us.

Since we try to meet up with friends from across the state once a year, it is always a challenge to find a property that meets everyone's needs and wants and Waterscape is a property that we will likely return to. Not only were the accomodations excellent and clean, there was a ton for the children to experience - we had 10 between the 3 families that met up here. It is always a challenge to find places large enough for families to stay together without breaking the bank and this was the final selling point for us. The only concern upon arrival was the bunk area for the kids - we were under the impression that this was housed in a room unto itself and was actually in a hallway along with the washer and dryer which made washing towels at night very difficult. Overall, a good experience and we will return.

This was the best vacation our family has taken by far. The Waterscape facility is tremendous...and our condo was beautiful and just the right size for my wife and I and two boys. It has the best pool/water park facility in Fort Walton Beach--we walked the beach looking for something better and didn't find it! The pictures online were EXACTLY what we found when we arrived, which was both reassuring and just plain nice. Easy beach access was a blessing and the weather cooperated most of the week--a hurricane blew through the week after we left, so we were fortunate to have good weather with only one real rainy day. The fact that it is located in Ft. Walton is a benefit, in my mind...much more quiet in terms of activity as compared to Destin, yet close enough to Destin to spend the evening there or enjoy an afternoon of activity. We cannot say enough good things about our experience and we plan to return for sure, hopefully to Waterscape again!

Ourr family always go to Destin in the summer as our vacation. We go with my sister and her family.This is the first time staying at the Waterscape. I can tell you that it will not be the last. this is an awesome place and has anything a child or adult could every think of having at a condo. A very nice exercise room for the adults, the 3 pools for all to enjoy exspecially the pool that my neice stayed in with the no entry which was good for us. Nice rooms and very well maintained. This is one you just have to visit yourself to just see the greatness.

We truly enjoyed staying at Waterscape on Okaloosa Island. This resort offers so much. The pools were outstanding. The grounds were well landscaped. They even had daily events for our kids. They sold food at the pool and there were several gas grills, great for cooking up the redfish that we had caught while deep sea fishing. The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I really liked the way this resort was laid out. There is alot to do around this area; rent a boat, jet skis, pontoon, parasail, fish and shop. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and grocery stores as well. We will surely be back.

We have stayed in many Southern Resort properties. We typically rent larger places but our unit was ideal here. The lazy river and the little slide kept our 2 1/2 year old active for hours. Hightide Oyster Bar across the street kept me active for hours! The condo unit sits on the beach which is always a plus. Sugar white sand just feet away from the many pools Waterscape has to offer. I highly recommend staying here if you have kids!!
