Waterscape #127A ~ Fort Walton Beach Vacation Accommodation

Waterscape is definitely a great place to stay for a family vacation with young kids. We really enjoyed our stay and the secluded area was great. Only minutes away from great dining and fun in Destin. Only thing I would change is the bracelet for the pool area (need one that can be removed).

The room is wonderful and the facility is too. The weather when we were there was a perfect 85 degrees. So what could ruin this vacation? The security in the facility. There were a few nice guards but there were a couple of older gentlemen who acted like they were prison guards. They were contemptuous, rude and obviously not happy people. One guy stood outside the hot tub making a clock ticking sound because it was close to the time for it to close all while looking at his watch and when it was exactly 10 he told everyone to get out. This was spring break but the facility was full of families there to enjoy time off and warm weather. There was no rowdiness or craziness but even act like you are going to be less than 4 feet from the pool with a drink and they will call you out - and not in a nice way- in a rude way! These guys ruined it for many that week because we talked to other families who all felt the same way. I would usually appreciate knowing that a facility has my safety in mind but this was way overboard. I have other similar stories but not enough room to write them all down.

I loved Waterscape! My husband and I went with our 2 boys (2 & 7) and my grandparents.Fun was had by all. Lots for them to do. I was surprised by all the extra things that were scheduled like kids karaoke night (our favorite), airbrush tattoos (cost money but we only paid $5 for ours, crafts for kids (cost money), kid's movie night (free) and lots more. Each day 2-3 things were scheduled if you wanted to participate. That was a pleasant surprise! One thing I didn't like was that we had to wear bracelets so that we could be identified as guests. I know it's to keep others out and I am okay with that but our bracelets were made out of a paper wax like material and broke! The bracelets are enforced which is good but when you have a bracelet that breaks it's makes for an embarrassing situation. Other guests had plastic bracelets and theirs stayed on. I wanted a plastic one but was told those were to identify different rental companies and our rental company just had the paper wax kind. Our view wasn't great as there was some type of construction place next door? We could see it from our condo but we could see the ocean and that made it better. I would stay there again. We had so much fun and it is a really really really nice place to stay. Very kid friendly and very fun for adults! It was worth every penny!

Okaloosa island has beautiful beaches and is only minutes away from Destin. Waterscape is right on the beach so ypu don't have to waist time traveling to/finding a good beach location. The amenities are great as well. We left almost right at the checkout time and the maintenance people were already there to start cleaning the room.

I will certainly book again. I have already recommended two of my friends to Vacation Rental. Thank you. We had an excellent time.
