Crystal Beach Vacation Home ~ Sunfish Cottage

Great house! We had a problem with the pool heater, but Southern Resorts took care of us. The house accomodated 10 people just fine and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the eagle's nest and the porch off the master bedroom! Great for playing cards at night!

have enjoyed this location two times and many years with southern resorts. when problems have occured they were handled in a timely manner.

Great time was had by all! When we got there the a/C wasn't working. One call to the "866" number and they had a technician sent out to fix the problem. Even though a thunderstorm delayed his arrival he showed up at around 8:00PM and stayed until the problem was resolved. We really enjoyed having a private pool. After a day at the beach it was fantastic to come home to enjoy some quiet time in the pool. This unit is very well equipped. The only things added to make it a great timer were food, beverage, and sunscreen!!! Definitely a place that we will come back to in the future!!!

The Sunfish Cottage was the perfect peaceful getaway. My husband and I were traveling with our one year old and both sets of grandparents. We had plenty of room and the private pool was a wonderful alternative to the beach when needed. The beach was extremely close. We would leave our things at the beach and come back and forth very easily even with a toddler! The service was great, the empty gas tank for the grill was replaced within several hours after we notified Southern Resorts. Thanks you for a much needed, problem free vacation.

Great place to get away from the snow, very comfortable

I enjoyed my stay here overall. The place was clean, close to the beach, and has a private pool so kids can play. The only downside was that there were several doors with broken locks (either the door does not latch completely etc.). We traveled w/ other families so this was a bit inconvenient especially for the main floor rest room. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. The check-in / check-out was super easy too.

This house was a great find and had all of the things we were looking for. We were traveling with our 1 year old and our parents. The house was spacious with a good sized kitchen and living area. The furniture in the living room could have used some updating, we covered them with some sheets for more comfort. Kitchen was great, had plenty of cooking equipment etc. The two bedrooms downstairs were okay, the master was more updated, had a nice walk in closet which we used for our 1 year old. The downstairs bathroom could have also used some tlc but overall they were clean as they could be for a florida vacation house. The pool was great and a good size for all of us. The location was great, only a short block walk to the beach which was nice and easy with a small child, we were able to come and go from the beach with ease. In general we loved the area right around where we stayed, great location in destin. The front porch was nice with lots of shade and nice to enjoy any time of the day. Overall a great vacation house and we were pleased with our choice.

We totally enjoyed the vacation in Destin. They house was beautiful and very well taken care of. Customer service was awesome! The grill stop working and within a couple of hours we had a new one delivered. The customer service department was very careful with everything. We liked everything about the house.

Staying at the sunfish cottage was the best choice I made for this vacation. House was very clean and had anything that you possibly needed. Was like home away from home. Location was excellent and only a very short walk from the beach. Cooked out on the grill in the evenings. Would recommend alittle more lighting for the back porch. Enjoyed the private pool also. Would recommend it and looking forward to staying there again.

Location is great. Close to everything in Destin but hidden away in Crystal Beach. Very short walk to beach access made it ideal for our family with small children. House was nice. Pool is good sized and shaded in the afternoons. Great place to cool off and not risk more sunburn.

excellent house to rent and stay for a stay in destin

Located a 1/2 block from beach its a great location. We took the kids to the beach during the day and played in the pool at night. The house is very well taken care of and all the ammenities were provided. Loved the property.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sunfish Cottage. It was a very easy walk down to the beach and the pool in the backyard was perfect! It had all the amenities that our family needed to feel right at home. We will certainly consider renting this home again on our future vacations.

Although this was an impromptu vacation due to Hurricane Gustav, we found Southern Resorts Vacation Rentals very accommodating. Our stay at the Sunfish Cottage was very enjoyable, private pool and a block from the beach. We will be returning for a real vacation in the near future. THis is much preferred over a condo or Hotel stay.
