Spinnaker #2A ~ A Perdido Key, FL Condo

My family of four and I, from Wisconsin, had a wonderful time in Spinnaker 2a. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and conveniently located. The beaches were clean and the location is within walking distance of a few local resturaunts and only a short drive to just about anything else you might want/need. While we were there we had the opportunity to go watch the Blue-Angels perform and tour the Naval air Museum. Wow what a wonderful place. We had a blast and will consider going back if we get the chance.

We loved the condo @ Spinnaker #2a. It was beautifully decorated, very spacious and comfortable. We honestly felt at home... It had 2 balconies - 1 faced the front highway, but the other one, off the living room - adjoining the bedroom, had a clear view of the ocean. The balcony was a little small but was great for us to sit and have coffee in the mornings as the sun came up. The condo was directly on the beach - no highway to cross. We went down stairs and down the walkway straight to the beach. Perdido Key is centrally located between Gulf Shores & Pensacola... Easy to go either way. There are plenty of restaurants, gas stations & souvenirs shops. Pensacola Naval museum & lighthouse are less than 15 minutes from the condo. We loved the condo - it had anything and everything we needed. The queen bed slept great. I liked that it had a keyless entry so there were no keys/cards to keep up with. The only things we didn't like was that the front door squeaked and it was right by a bedroom, so when the little one was sleeping it was hard to sneak out. The other thing was the stairs - if you had health problems or little ones, it could be an issue (wasn't for us). We definitely plan on going back and staying here!!! The Presley

We are from Wa, having a crappy summer and the beach house was great, a very lovely home! But-be aware that it is up 4 flights of stairs. We had a number of heavy suitcases so this was rather daunting. Location was amazing. My husband was out surf fishing at the crack of dawn each morning. We did not experience any of the crowds from the public beach access next door. In fact it was great for us as our daughter meet new kids to hang out with each day! There are no beach chairs or umbrellas. The chair rental place that the "site" talked about was closed-so we had to purchase them which was an unexpected expense. Conveniently located near the air Base and shopping. We were there for our son's birthday and graduation from flight school. We hosted a party and the house was well equiped w enough serving pieces- very nice. Also, lots of seating in the house. We have a beach house in DE. We occasionally rent to friends. I think it would be great to have some condiments; salt, pepper, sugar, more paper products. Tissue. More garbage bags. Again-it was very expensive to have to purchase all this. I'm sure tenants leave items when they check out. I doubt we will come back as our son will be leaving and we have our own place. But--if we were ever to come back to the area we would call again!

Had a great time. Home was actually nicer than the pictures. Had a bathroom light go out and wrong size bulb in closet and they were there within the hour to fix it!

Pretty, comfortable, roomy. Stairs were a problem, though;I'm 81. Also no information on local churches and no local phone book.

Everything about the stay was great! The actual condo itself was better than expected. We love the area of Perdido Key and could not beat this place for the price. The condo is very roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the privacy of the beach as well. We'll definitely be back!

It was a great place to stay. It was convenient to get to the beach, not crowded which was wonderful. It would be a place that we would consider going to again.

The condo was much better than we expected.It was very clean and I was suprised how equipped the kitchen is. It was very quiet there was only one other person in the building, and the views were great.

What a great place to Stay-gulf front & view.Very well spread out. Very relaxing. Second stay . Will come again!

The Spinnaker was so much more than we anticipated. First...the "negatives": the way it was described was that it had a full ocean view. This was incorrect; it has a partial view. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful partial view that gave us enough to still be able to sit on the deck off the bedroom every morning and watch the sunrise over the ocean, while enjoying our coffee. The only other negative was with the public access being next door. The last couple of days we were there it was very sunny and hot; so during the middle part of the day (late morning - early evening) we found ourselves having to go a little bit down the beach because the "public" was out in front of our condo. I did have issues with this, but as long as it remains fairly isolated like it is, this will not deter us from returning. Now...the "positives": location! Location! location! The Spinnaker is (at this time) the last condo on this particular strip, so there is nothing on one side and only a couple of smaller condos on the other side. This helped my family enjoy much of the privacy we had searched for. Also, what little bit of beach traffic we did encounter, was with other families. We were close enough to everything to get there quickly, but far enough away that we had peace and quiet! Finally - the 2a itself: The owner's have made this condo so cozy and easy. Everything was taken care of; all we had to do was walk in, put our things away, grab a few groceries from the local store, then head out to the water. My husband and I were there with 4 children ranging in age from 5-13 yrs. There was plenty of room not only for sleeping, but also for each of us to have our own "area" to go to once we were in for the night. Bottom line: We loved the Spinnaker! We have already recommended it to a few family and friends heading that way later in the year. As for us...the decision is made we will be going back next year!

What an awesome stay. The beach is out the back door.Far enough from the crowds,but close Vacinity to many activities. Can hardly wait to visit again. Ponte south realty was great!

Everything as advertised on Pointe South web pages: An airy comfortable casual and totally equipped 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. Only disappointment was 2nd bedroom location: window opens onto stairway. Provided lots of indoor and sheltered outdoor "hang out" spaces, especially important as outside weather wasn't very warm for time of year. Quiet yet not isolated - very close to any services you need, but "far from the madding crowds". GREAT value for the money. Would happily stay here again.

I loved this condo....comfortable, quiet(very important to me), well-appointed and a great location. Everything was provided for me. I rent only from Pointe South when I travel to Perdido Key, my favorite spot on the Florida coast. Service is always good and condos are first-class. My only complaint is something that really cannot be remedied: the stairs are a bear, especially when carrying up groceries, luggage, etc. And when it rains, the stairs are not really covered so not only do you get wet but they become a bit slippery. While I would love to rent this condo again, I must say that the stairs do give pause.

The condo was perfect for me and my two girls. I had privacy and they were able to do their own thing. It was fairly quiet. We met other tenants at the beach. The beach area was not crowded, which was very nice.

This is our third time to stay in Spinnaker 2A. It is the perfect size in the perfect location!
