Sea Shells in Destin

This was a lovely rental located in the charming community of Crystal Shores. My husband and I shared the house with my daughter, son-in-law and two young grandchildren. Sea Shells is a great place for families. We also needed a house that was pet friendly and consider ourselves fortunate to come across a rental that did not charge a large extra daily fee for pets. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable as well as being beautifully decorated. There is a large wrap around porch (with table, chairs and grill) downstairs and another large porch off the master bedroom upstairs. The yard is also quite large and enclosed by a white picket fence. The two bedrooms downstairs worked well for my daughter, son-law and our two grandchildren. We occupied the beautiful master bedroom upstairs which has a master bath with whirlpool tub. The only issue might be that the climb up the flight of stairs leading to the master bedroom could be a bit difficult for someone who has physical problems. The house is located about a block and a half from the beach. There is also a very nice heated community pool a very short walk away. Southern Vacation Rentals was a pleasure to work with...absolutely no problems. We ran out of propane one evening and called them. They had a replacement tank delivered within 20 minutes. I would not hesitate to do business with them. We all enjoyed our stay in Destin. It has become one of our favorite vacation destinations.

The Sea Shells was a beautiful home! We almost stayed an extra day. The kids and us loved it! It was our first time in Destin. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Just a small walk to the beach. Very cute semi-secluded neighborhood.

Area was great. The house was just what we needed.

We have come here for 4 years in a row and have always been pleased. Worried this year when noted rotted wood outside on the second floor deck. Don't like new requirement of 7 day stay and set day structure. May alter next years plan to come back. Excellent home for family with pets or not. Clean and comfortable.

The service I received was 5 stars service. I love the home, very clean and the location was great. The home all the amenities need to call it a home, not like a rental property. The walking distance to the house from the beach is very close and safe. I will stay in this home again. The kids like the home so much that they want to stay extra day. That is a big thing for me when I travel with the kids. What I like most about the house is the layout of house is very relaxing and quiet. I only cook on the stove only one time, but the rest of the time I used the grill which is a plus. I can not really say there is nothing I don't like about the house, except the internet connection. They need to make the internet connection more users friendly. I will definitely bring my family back to this place. The house is full of good energy. This house was more than enough room for eight people. A great neighborhood, with a short walk to the beach. The whole family loved it and we are already talking about our return trip. Crystal beach deserves it's name as the water was crystal clear. When the surf is rough, expect to see many jellyfish on the shore, but most days we had no problems and the weather was great four out of the five days we were there. Thankfully, the beach house provided a great place to relax on that one day. Enjoyed the gourmet stainless steel grill as well.

The property is great. Our second year to stay at Sea Shells and plan to return in 2010. Convenient to all major activities in the Destin area. Clean, roomy, comfortable. Last year, property management was informed about a couple of issues with the home. Upon arrival this year, the same issue was still there. Called property management, individual came out but did not fix issue. Called property management again. Second individual came out, looked at issue, promised to be back in a couple of days but never came back. Issue still exists.

Positives: Location - a very short walk to the beach House - loads of room in the house - very spacious rooms, very clean, great cozy quaint cottage feel, relaxing porch, fully charged gas grill for BBQ Convenience - grocery store and upscale shops a few blocks away Neighborhood - very quite Negatives: Had car broken into and ipod stolen in driveway (partially our fault for leaving car door unlocked) - the good news is that neighbors noticed them (2am in morning) and scared them off before more items stolen.

Lovely, safe neighborhood. Away from the commercial areas of Destin. Home was clean, well-equipped. Great wide screens and huge grill. Beach is the best!

Sea Shells was a very nice place to stay. The only thing I could have wished for was for an additional bath or maybe half bath. It was very nice and comfortable.

This house was perfect for our 2 family (4 kids) vacation. The walk to the beach was not far at all, and the house had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The home is centrally located to Crystal Beach in Destin. It was less than 1/2 a mile to the beach. Each day we would grab our beach chairs (purchased at Publix) and walk across the street. The home is pet friendly and well maintained. We did have to purchase a propane tank for the grill as it was left empty. We also had to purchase beach chairs which we left at the home. Also the can opener in the kitchen was broken as well.

Great location; convenient to everything; Southern Resorts corrected all problems/concerns within 3 hrs; when I suggested some needed upgrades one year they were handled when I returned the following year; good neighbors and neighborhood.

Clean, decorated nicely, handled 5 adults and 2 dogs well. Perfect yard for pets. Porch was outstanding. Close to beach, pool, shopping, and restaurants. Good matresses. Wish I had a tv like that at home. Remember to bring what you need for cooking- no basics such as salt,pepper,flour,sugar,etc were in the house and are too much to buy and then have to transport home. Had some problems with wireless internet-my computer wouldn't interface with wireless router. Will be back

The property we rented was wonderful! Clean, everything furnished as promised. I was able to prepare and serve our Thanksgiving feast in style!!! We had a small electrical issue and a technician came out almost immediately and had us all set. I would recommend Southern Resorts to anyone. Staff was helpful, friendly. Wish we could have come again this year but, we'll definitely be back!!!
