The ocean and beach were great! The house is big and more than adequate. The cooktop has 2 broken burners and needs replaced. The beds were marginal although we were exhausted from long wonderful days at the beach so sleep still came. This place could be marvelous with a little TLC. Wade pool needs attention, liner coming off. Public beach access is right next door but didn't bother us too much. Close to shopping and resturants although we chose to stay close to home and do our own cooking.

Wonderful, the only negative was the hot tub didn't work. Maintenance came but it still didn't work.

This was my mother's first trip to the beach. She saw the house and was as excited. We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful with a warm, homey feeling. Thanks again.

Our stay at the Royal Beach Palace was an unforgettable one! The house is even larger than it appears in the photos, and there's no photo of it, but there is a 3rd floor living room that is amazing (52" TV, couch, daybed, chair and a half, wet bar, etc.). We had 8 adults and 3 kids, and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out (we didn't even use the detached guest apartment over the garage - although it was well-outfitted (albeit not as luxurious) and would have been used if we had one more family). The dipping pool is larger than it appears as well (about 6'x15'). It was fantastic to have the beach, a pool and the hot tub right out the door - and the beach service set us up 6 chairs and 3 umbrellas every day - heaven! The house is a little worn (to be expected with rentals), but it is impeccably decorated and outfitted. If you're a chef who plans on cooking in a lot, you may want to bring your own spatulas, knives, etc., but for a casual cook, you're good to go - plenty of silverware, pans, glassware, dishes, etc. The only slight downside is that the house is right next to the public beach access entrance, but it wasn't that big of a deal, and being right in the center of Destin (and 2 blocks from a Publix) is definitely nice. Just as an FYI, it's laid out so that there is one BR on the first floor (therefore a little less private since kitchen, LR, DR, etc.is down there), three on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd floor. Two of the bathrooms on the second floor (the King BR ones) are great. All others are a little lack-luster, but adequate. Lastly, I can't say enough about how wonderfully responsive Southern Resorts was to anything we needed taken care of. Their workers are very polite and fast to respond, so anything that wasn't right when we got there, they quickly made right. Wonderful!

We enjoyed a family holiday at the Royal Beach Palace and everyone had a fantastic time! Location, location , location says it all!! All minor complaints were addressed immediately and resolved and the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas which were set up each morning were a luxury!! We will definitely be back!!

The location is great. Right in between Destin and San Destin. The large house was more than accommodating for our group and you can not describe the feeling of having your own boardwalk to the beach. The proximity of the house to your chairs was wonderful. Especially if you need to go back and get something inside you forgot to take out with you to start. Large Kitchen and dining area was perfect for a large group meal and the pool & hot tub was a wonderful bonus. I would recommend this house to anyone who was thinking of staying here. The only real negative was the fact that we thought we would be able to park in the garage, but apparently that wasn't the case.

The house was just as described, everything we needed, except could of used a few more towels in the bathrooms, however the washer and dryer made everything ok. The deck was perfect, we grilled out and the kids used the pool when their eyes were burning from the ocean saltwater. Having the beach chairs and umbrellas at oceanside every morning was the icing on the cake! Grocery stores, shopping and restaurants made us in the perfect location. Can't wait to come again

The house had everything we needed. It is nicely decorated. The grill outside was nice to have so we could grill a few meals. Double washer/dryer was definitely used. We had lots of space. We had 13 adults + 8 children (ranging in age from 7 mos - 13 yrs) and we had ample space. We really enjoyed the large common areas like the kitchen/ eating area, dining area w/ the living area. With 3 children napping it was great to be ON the beach taking shifts w/ listening to baby monitors. The house is close to great shopping areas and nice restaurants. What I like least about the house is the thin walls. You can hear everything thru out. What I like most is the size. I have a big family and it accommadated all without compromise. We had enough restrooms! When we had issues Southern Resorts sent service right away to deal with those issues. We all agreed that we would stay at this house again, next time around. Southern Resorts, Thanks for a great vacation, we all hated to leave.

My wife and I, along with our four children and eleven grandchildren held a reunion at the Royal Palace. The weather, beach, water, pool and hot tub were great for young and old. Accommodation fit our family perfectly. Kids and grandchildren in the main house and my wife and I in the garage apartment. We will stay at the Royal Palace again for our next reunion.
