Island Surf 9 ~ Vacation Condo at Fort Walton Beach

Despite the record heat index we endured during our week in Ft. Walton Beach, we had a fabulous time. Island Surf #9 was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Plus, it offered a beautiful view and a quick walk to the beach. The only thing we would improve is the access to the beach. Walking through the pool area and 2 gates was not always the most convenient route. But, the positives definitely outweight any negatives we encountered. Ft. Walton Beach is a slower-paced, peaceful alternative to the hustle-bustle environment of neighboring Destin.

Check in was a hassle. We were early, but also, couldn't get the key early, so we didn't have to drive back to the office to get it and then go back to our place. When they called to let us know it was ready, I got back in the car, drove there and when we got there, the place was a mess and the cleaners were still there- we had to wait another 30 minutes outside of our condo. But the place is beautiful!! And after all is said and done, well worth it- even with the rough start. It was comfy and nice, great view, so close to the beach & it has a homey, laid back feel every beach home should have. I would suggest more towels, toilet paper and paper towels...or if you are staying here, definitely pick some up- a hassle, but hopefully they can provide more in the future...

we enjoyed staying at Island Surf #9 on our recent visit to Fort Walton Beach. The condo was very clean and very comfortable. We will definately be back.

Had a wonderful week. The condo was clean and is wonderfully situated directly on the beach. Very comfortable beds. We have stayed in one of the other units there before and hope to come back again. My only recommendation would be an extra small chair or two in the living room. Sleeps six, but only seats 4.

I took my 3 children by myself on spring break this year. I was looking for a safe, clean place on the beach. We had a great time, the pool is just big enough, next to the ocean. Our room was clean, well furnished and decorated up to date. Thanks for a great spring break. Laundry on site and I never parked more that 4 spots from my door.

Nice cozy condo on the beach equiped with 3 TVs and DVD players as well as free WIFI. Private balcony over looking pool area as well as view of the beach. Small condo, so no crowds or having to share pool area with large groups of people. Easy check in and check out. The room itself had new appliances, but was missing some basic amenities such as soap for shower and scissors. There was a common laudry room for all to share instead of in the room, but it was sufficient for our stay. The beach area was beautiful and had life guard station right next to condo for safety.

Island Surf #9 was truly our home away from home. First of all, check-in was a breeze with Southern Rentals. When we walked into the condo we were quite impressed. It had new tile floors, great fixtures in the bathroom, great furniture, and a large television in the living room. We loved the TV with DVD player in the guest bedroom for our daughter. The master bedroom also had a TV (flat screen on the wall). We especially loved the quiet residential feel of the place. This is not a huge condo building and there are no elevators to deal with. The walk to the beach is literally 30 seconds and the Gulf view from the condo is amazing. There is also a very nice pool. Staying here was my idea of a true beach getaway. The thought of elevators and loads of people just doesn't do it for me. The beach in front of the condo only has a handful of people on it and chair and umbrella set up is complimentary. I just can't say enough about this place. It's a real hidden gem!

We had a great time and love Ft Walton Beach. Island Surf #9 is very nice and comfortible. We will stay here again...

I have stayed in other Ft. Walton Beach properties, and this one ranked close to the top for the price. It's definitely nothing fancy, but it's cozy and nice. The beach location (on the beach) and beach service were really great. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place to stay. Close to Beach and pool. Very clean and well equiped. I will try to rent this condo in the future. We had a great time!

This is our second year to stay at the Island Surf a friend insisted that we stay there. It was fantastic everything we needed. A short walk to the beach. Not alot of people on the beach so it wasnt crowded. We grilled out swam at the pool. The condo was well equiped with everything that we needed. My kids love to stay there. We will stay there again in the future. If I were planning on staying there next year I would make my reservations now! We had a great time.
