Full Abalone ~ Beaches of South Walton Vacation Rental

we had a great time. The bottom floor is nice and open so everyone can gather in the same room. The balconies were great and the loft area gave our 4 teens their own space and their own balcony as well. The house and kitchen were well equipped. We loved riding bikes on 30a and sampling the local restaurants. Great Vacation! The one negative-watch out for the legs of the bar stools. They flare out at the bottom and are easy to stub your toes on.

Full abalone is a great house, close to the beach, and in a nice area of Santa Rosa Beach.

Everything was great, the Full abalone was a very clean, beautiful home, with everything we needed plus very close to the pool and ocean. The only problem we had was with the internet, it went down a few times and the wireless was slow but not enough to put a damper on our vacation.

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing week at the beach with our adult children. The weather was great, the house was perfect for us to enjoy spending time together playing games, cooking & just hanging out. The pool was nice and access to the beach just a short walk. Thank you.

We rented Full Abalone for a long weekend getaway for 9 moms who needed a break. We were all pleased with the home's location, amenities, decor, etc. The weather did not cooperate, but we had a great time enjoying meals at the large table, reading on the many porches, and chatting in the tower room. There was plenty of room for us, and many commented how great the open floor plan on the bottom floor was for accomodating a larger group. The walk to the beach is very short and easy. We will definitely rent this house again for a similar sized group.

We stayed in Full Abalone for a week, and it was so relaxing! This adorable home had everything you needed for a great time. The beach was steps away and absolutely gorgeous. The cute shops were within walking distance, and there were great paths for biking and running! Overall it was an amazing week.

We came into Santa Rosa Beach for a VERY quick weekend. We attended the wedding of a good friend. Unfortunately we did not have a lot of time to enjoy the beach or pool. But the rental process was quick and easy. The home was beautiful and just as we expected from the photos. We were within minutes from the wedding party. We will definitely be back when we can stay longer and have some quality beach time!

My sisters and our families rented the pink cottage at Full Abalone on Santa Rosa beach, and all ten of us give the property two thumbs up! From the moment our feet landed on the welcome mat our three families felt at home in your spacious, family-friendly townhouse. The open floorplan on the main level made day to day activities much simpler with such a crowd. The kids awoke every day in a race to the front windows to see what color flag was flying at the beach. Our young children especially loved the bunkroom and 3rd floor crow's nest "for their own privacy". The rest of us big kids were equally as pleased with our rooms and private balconies, especially when we needed to escape the family chaos for a few quiet moments to be alone with the sky and sea. We were blessed with sunny skies, friendly neighbors, great fishing, and mild surf for the entire week. The large front porch, outdoor shower, and hardwood floors made cleaning off after a day at the beach a breeze. We all enjoyed that the pool was only a house away and had an outdoor shower and bathrooms as well. Our only problem was having to eventually leave (plus the rascally raccoons who pillaged the trash every night, but even those little varmints were pretty tidy!).

Our first time to the Gulf of Mexico. The whole family enjoyed the beach immensely and we will be back.

My family had last taken a family vacation in 2002 so when our extended family (my family, my brother's family, and my parents) agreed to hit the beach in August 2008 I started the search immediately. All I had to work with was somewhere on the Gulf coast of Florida. After a little searching, I had settled on a couple of properties and shortly thereafter I sent Southern Resorts a depost on the Full Abalone resience. As the vacation planner, I am not one for loosy-goosy operations as the full pressure of the fun and sun vacation was resting soley on my shoulders. I could not have been happier with the result. We arrive on time at the residence (how can you miss a three story pink house?), entered a pin code into the front door handle, and entered the residence. The house worked perfectly, slept easily all 10 of my family members in four different rooms, had cble TV, wifi internet access, all the amenities of home with one exception; a beautifully white sand beach across the street. Not only did we enjoy beach access, there was a private pool two houses up the Rue de Soleil, a lake for fishing, wonderful restauranst less than 10 miles away, and excellant family conversations we had all along the way. Writers note: I don't work for Southern Resorts or have a vested interest in your vacation plans but if your like me (a perfectionist, detail driven, family planner, type A sort, entrust your plans to Southern Resorts. They did not fail me in any area of this vacation. My 10 year-old still ensists this frigid late October day that she wants to go back to the pink house next year. BTW, the Full Abalone house is only the backdrop...you and your family will write the story...perhaps with you feet in the water and toes in the sand.) You can thank me later.

This house was beautiful, and was so close to a private pool, Bay, and pure white beach sand. It was convenient for us as we walked to the wedding we were there for which was right on the beach. Great views, and great times. Thanks, -Mike.
