We had a great vacation at Dolphin View...it is secluded and very quiet...we enjoyed watching the foxes on land and the stingrays from the pier...the pool was small but the pool at the beach club was just a short walk and we had it to ourselves most days...the house was very clean and spacious...I would suggest they provide more bath towels and pool chairs but everything else was wonderful...we will be back!

The service I received reagrding the coordination of the rental was excellent. Southern Resorts were accomodating and helpful. The home was nice. The location was perfect for our family. The neighborhood atmosphere was perfect for biking, walking to the beach and club pool. There were a few improvements I would recommend. The rental was not as clean as we prefer but it was by no means filthy. The kitchen utensils, cooking items and frig were a bit insufficient for the house of this size. As well as the bath linens provided for the house. There were barely enough for us and so I can not imagine the delima others would be in if it were at maximum capacity. Also, one of the bathtubs on the second floor, the hotwater did not work. The bed linens were not of the best quality. Overall, it was a great rental and I would recommend it to others. We enjoy the area and plan to return for future vacations.

Good Morning! We were guest at the Dolphin View house in Port St. Joe, Florida the week of 3/24 - 3/31. We enjoyed our week of fun and relaxation and the house was beautiful! We have 3 opportunities for improvement: 1. Bugs: 6 of us received multiple bug bites that swelled into welts. I personally had over 6 dozen and went to the doctor for a steroid shot and am using cortisone cream along with taking an antihistamine. We were not aware we were being bitten at the time so we cannot tell you the type of bug or where it is located. Our suggestion is that they are in the patio furniture and/or the cushions. 2. Access codes to the beach house a block from our property: We were given 3 different codes and the first 2 did not work. This was a source of confusion for almost the entire week. 3. Recycling may be something you would consider offering your guests. At least 80% of what we threw away could be recycled. We understand that some of your guests would not participate in your recycling program, but I know we would and you may be surprised just how many guest would participate. Thank you for your time and consideration. The Hebert Party

We stayed at the Dolphin View. It was wonderful. Plenty of room. Priivate pool. So Nice. There were a couple minor things that should have been taken care of before we got there. 1. the dust on the flowere arrangements, blinds and other out of the way places was heavy. 2. dining table and chairs need some repairs. But Yesss we will go back. It was a wonderful time

I had searched and searched the internet for a place near Port St. Joe with 4 bedrooms where my sisters and brother and their spouses could enjoy getting together for a weekend. Dolphin View was IT! During the day our daughters who were staying at MainStay Suites in St. Joe, got together with us for meals, and yard saling. Our only gripe is that a house as fabulous as Dolphin View does not have some type of elevator. There are too many stairs for us "ancients" to climb several times a day. Plus, I was under the impression that the house was right on the water without a street between. However, the short walk was no problem, but there is no access to the dock, even at low tide--water between shore and dock. We left our dogs at Blooming Tails in St. Joe as there is a "no pets" rule at the house--and I don't blame them--I would not want pets there either if I owned the house. We all loved our weekend there. I personally enjoyed the pool, small, but private.

Everything was great from check in to check out. We were pleasantly surprised as this was our first time renting with Southern Resorts. The house was fabulous and our family had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the privacy and the amenities of the club house. The beach across the road was more for fishing than swimming, but Mexico Beach was only a few miles away! We particularly enjoyed the private pool. Our adult children and grandchildren also enjoyed bicycling while we were there (free bicycle rental included as well as kayaking). Our children said it was one of the best family vacations we have had! We would definitely recommend this place and would love to go again!

The Dalphin View is an extremely comfortable home with plenty of space for a week long vacation with the whole family. We even had a few extra children which the house easily adapted to accommodate. The location was wonderful and the two community pools provide extra amenities and variety. The house is indeed a design winner with tasteful decorations and use of colors. The decks are outstanding and provided great enjoyment whether watching the sunset over the water or lounging around the pool in the back yard. The gourmet kitchen was a delight to use in preparing meal. Having a bathroom with every bedroom is just some of the details and planning put into the design of this home. The only short coming was the refrigerator space is limited for a home design to accommodate 10 people. Unlike staying on the island, it was only a few miles to the grocery store so a trip to the store was not a major event. An extra refrigerator in the large utility room would be a nice addition. The Port St Joe down town area was very neat and it provided interesting shopping and many restaurants are near by. St Joseph Island State Park was a comfortable drive for a swim in the gulf, but the beach at the Windmark Village was extremely delightful and attractive.

My husband and I have vacationed in Mexico Beach and St. Joe Beach during the summer for the last 8 years. My husband grew up not far from there and we just love the area. We have 2 children now, 4 and 1 and this year we wanted a house that was close to the beach and had a pool. Dolphin View met both of our needs. While the beach close to the house was not accessible for swimming, the view was still wonderful! The house is beautiful, however when we arrived the house was not clean. We noticed some dust on the furniture when we first arrived and then as we were unloading the car our 1 year old was playing on the floor, when we picked her up to feed her, her knees and feet were almost black from the dirt on the floors. In addition, the furniture in the living space was not comfortable. We have stayed in a lot of rental houses in this area, all of them much less expensive than this house, and were quite disappointed with the lack of comfort that was afford with this property. Overall, our vacation was very nice, our 4 year old loved having the pool and REALLY loved the pool right down the block at the club house. One more thing, I could have done without finding a scorpion in my daughters' room the day before we left...but I guess that comes along with being by the water.

We had a great time at Dolphin View and truly enjoyed the slower pace of the area. Port St. Joe, as well as Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, and Apalachicola reminded us of the days when we used to visit the beach before high-rises and water parks! We highly recommend the beaches at St. Joe State Park, and the snorkeling trip with Seahorse Adventures at the Port St. Joe Marina. Our favorite meal was there at WindMark at the School of Fish Restaurant--something for everyone:burgers, sushi, mac and cheese and seafood! The house itself is gorgeous and had plenty of room for our two families. Our only complaint is that all the beds were hard and uncomfortable. We would love to return, but hope that new mattresses are in store. Overall it was a wonderful vacation!
