Destiny Dreaming ~ Destin Vacation Home

This was a very nice home close to the beach. The community had lots of amenities for the children. Our kids loved having their own beds with their own flat screened tv in their room. Lots of room for a family of 5 plus 2 grandparents. Nice, upscale community in which our kids loved having a golf cart to ride in.

I came with my girlfriends for the very first time and enjoyed every moment. The house was so lovely that we did not even want to leave. Destiny Dreaming was such a convenient location, we didn't have to travel far to go places! Loved it very much and will definitely return!!!

Destiny Dreaming was perfect for my family of 4! The house was very clean, decorated nicely, and well stocked. The furniture is high-quality (not like most places we've rented). The beach umbrella was broken and the gas grill never got hot enough to use (needs to be replaced) but everything else was great! The house could use a few, minor repairs (door handles, garage door very loud). We loved use of the golf cart, but there should be a way to sign the waiver on-line so that you don't have to make two trips to the rental office to get and drop off the key. The house was close to everything and being in a gated community made us feel safe and pampered (although the code given to us didn't state that we had to add a # symbol to get in... had to figure that out). Loved the keyless entry to the house! The community center and staff were very friendly and the pool/hot tub/tennis were wonderful. The theater could use a bit of maintenance (clean up the back from junk and adjust the focus on the screen). Overall, other than some minor stuff, the house was awesome, and we would rent it again! One of the most relaxing weeks ever! Thanks!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Destiny Dreaming over spring break. Plenty of activities available for all the grandchildren to keep them busy and entertained. Beautiful scenery and home to rest in as well as great shopping close by. Peaceful nights and entertaining days!

This was our best trip to Destin yet! Destiny Dreaming house was amazing! The clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts and golf cart was an added bonus! Being so close to the beach and all the restaurants was incredible. So incredible that I am thinking of moving here one day! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home! We felt like we were on top of the world here!

We were able to move our week from Sunday to Sunday, which we appreciated as we had two grad students with us who had limited time to stay with us. Craig in office was wonderful to open door and give me key to the golf cart on Sunday! We changed a few light bulbs that were blown, called to report coffee pot not working (Monday morning)(and as we had one like it at home, we knew how it worked) -- they brought us a new one within hours -- and we reported that the smoke alarm was chirping and needed a battery change (and this was on Sunday when we checked in). Because of the heighth of the ceiling, we couldn't change it and a gentleman came and changed it quickly as well -- on a Sunday! Great visit as usual, as this was second time we have stayed here. Now -- new question -- as parents are aging and stairs are difficult, do you have any other homes for rent in this area (Destiny East)? We need at least one bedroom on the main floor, others can be upstairs. Thanks.

We have stayed at Destiny Dreaming on three separate occasions. In July we were delighted to invite extended family over for a great July 4th celebration. With the extra bedrooms and hugh kitchenfor cooking, it was truely a family celebration. In September, we stayed for the Labor Day holiday. We always find this home clean, inviting and comfortable. We have stayed here so much we consider this our "vacation home."

The property was well kept. There was more than enough space for our family. The beach was within walking distance. We were able to shop and relax. I highly recommend this property.

We loved the accommodations. The check-in and check-out process was painless. The house was beautiful, as well as the location. It was quiet yet close to other activities, well equipped with modern conveniences and in great condition. The pool was within walking distance and had a relaxing and comfortable environment. We loved having our own private golf cart. And, on top of it all we lucked out with the weather.

My wife and I were married on March 27th of this year, and had reserved one of the Southern Resorts properties some 3 months in advance. Unfortunately, the original property we booked became unavailable only 3 days before our wedding, and consequently, our check-in date. I had visions of a nightmare experience forming in my mind, but Southern Resorts made my actual experience completely stress-free and painless. They upgraded us to the house of our choice without any additional cost. They would get an A+ for that alone, but it only got better. Sometimes a property looks good online, but there's always that small chance that it won't meet your expectations when you get there. Our expectations were high, largely because what we saw online looked so beautiful and inviting. I must say, Southern Resorts did not disappoint. Destiny Dreaming is every bit as charming and relaxing as it appears on the virtual tour on the website. The interior was beautifully decorated, which is not what you get with a lot of vacation rental homes. There were rich woods, vibrant colors accented by darker decorative pieces, and a uniqueness to each room that made you feel that the owners and managers actually cared about the house and the guests who would be staying. Although we didn't use the back patio much, my wife and I would have loved to have breakfast out there some day. Unfortunately, the mornings were a little cool; but no worries, we enjoyed having breakfast in the kitchen. The private golf cart was great, although again, we mostly drove our rental car and/or walked. I really enjoyed having access to the club house and its workout facilities. If you're active and don't like missing your lifting time, this is a real plus. Finally, couldn't have asked for a better location for beach access except a house directly on the beach. We were only minutes from a great beach, and went there almost every day. I hope that I'm able to come back to this spot in the near future - A+ for sure!

Loved the spacious, particularly the two living areas. Small bedroom was very small, given that it has two double beds in it. Suggested that owners add a brigher bulb as this room only has one very dim overhead light and only one lamp -- like being in a cave. But that is literally our own suggestion, as the home is lovely and in a perfect location for us. We'll be back next year!

This place was great. It's nearly a ten minute walk to the beach, but the house is worth it. The go cart and the free movies were awesome.

We first rented through Southern Resorts in 2006 and have returned to the Destin area every season since. We have rented Destiny Dreaming twice and can say without a doubt that it has everything a family could ask for in a vacation home. It boasts large bedrooms, multiple baths, a large kitchen, and a golf cart that can be driven on the road (very convenient for the beach). The amenities offered through the Destiny East community were also very nice. The staff at Southern Resorts has always provided us with everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. A++

We loved staying 7 nights at Destiny Dreaming. We liked it so much that we booked for next year upon check-out. The home was very clean and had all of the ammenities that we needed except for the garage door opener (but that was no problem). Only suggestion that I have is to make sure that the cleaning staff do not have access to the door codes until after the 10 am check out time. We were lying in bed at 8:30 am when the front door opened and someone identifying herself has the cleaning staff came into the home. This scared me to death. Not a healthy thing in today's world!

Loved the home, great space and the kitchen was top notch with all the bells and whistles. Great for the guest that enjoys cooking! We had a wonderful time and the house was beautiful, our only wish was that there was ample seating outdoors for dining and entertaining.

January 9, 2009 My husband and I recently stayed November and December at Destiny Dreaming and loved it. It was furnished beautiful. We were so near the beach we could have walked but loved the goff cart instead. My daughter came to visit for Christmas and truly loved it also. We hope to come back this Nov. and Dec. and will enjoy our stay again. Satisfied Guest. Carol Mc
