Destin Towers #162 ~ Beachfront Destin Condo

It was great. This is a very nice, large condo. The complex is small, which we liked. Great location. Only issue was the large under the cabinet ice maker did not work. That would have been nice to have.

My family and I really enjoyed this condo. We have been taking a family trip every year to the beach for the past 25 years. We have stayed in all kinds of condo's but this one is up there with our favorites. We are hoping to rent it again next trip. We also had to book late due to everyone's schudule and the owner was great working with us and the price.

This is a fantastic unit for those needing 4 bedrooms. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful property. We have stayed at multiple places in Destin, and this by far was our favorite. The decorating inside is overdone and heavy, but once we stepped out on the beautiful balconies, and saw the view from this penthouse we knew we were where we should be for the week. Brian, the beach attendant, was awesome, the condo is huge, kitchen well equipped, 4 full baths, clean secure building in the best location in downtown Destin. Less than half the building is comprised of rental units, so it was also great fun meeting the owner occupants. The only complaint we had were the pigeons on the balcony. They are a problem and something should be done about this (although I don't know what). Great service from Southern Resorts too. We had a plumbing issue, and called them. They were there within an hour to repair the problem. What a great place, and a great company to do business with.

Eight adult family members enjoyed this penthouse condo on the beach for the months of January and Feburary 2011. The location is great "right on the beach". We enjoyed many hours sitting on our 16th floor deck listening to the waves and people watching. We had a few minor problems when we first arrived but Southern Resorts addressed each issue and helped make our stay very enjoyable. There were a few things that would make this condo even more comfortable and senior adult friendly. The kids bedroom has a full bed with bunk overhead, which is great for kids but was not adult friendly, 2 twins would be more comfortable. The sleeper sofa in the den is very broke down and made it uncomfortable to sit on. We found no reading lamps in the living area and since our family members are avid readers we purchased 2 lamps to resolve that problem. I recommand to change out the 2 above listing to make this unit more adult friendly. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes. My husband and I have used Vrbo for many of our trips so I have an list of items that I always take such as spices, extra cutting boards and pot holders. This kitchen supplied no spices, not even salt and pepper. On a good note the master suite is beyond awesome large with a beautiful spa master bath and private deck. We have booked this condo for the 2012 snowbird season and will be looking forward to enjoying our new found winter home.
