Crystal Seas ~ Crystal Beach Vacation Home Rental

1st time staying at this location but was great experience with my family. We come to Panama City every year but Destin was a great trip for us. We are looking forward to coming back next year. Weather was not the greatest but just loved sitting out on the patio. House really fitted our needs as far the lay out and spacious.

We had 8 adults and 6 kids in our group and fit perfectly. The house was well maintained and very clean. The access to the beach was great! The cross walk was just one lot down from us. The public beach access had clean restrooms and a very nice covered picnic area. There were no beach rentals nearby though (jet ski, body boards, etc). There are some restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. The pool is pretty small, but worked okay, even with our large group. We wished that there would have been more shade in the pool. By 12:00, there was no shade left. There is an empty lot on one side of the house, so it was nice to have neighbors on just the 1 side. The neighborhood was gorgeous! There is no hot tub, which we would have liked. Also, the house echos, so the babies that got up early would wake everyone else up. That is probably normal with a beach house though, since they all have tile floor with no rugs... Overall had a blast and look forward to returning to the same spot next year!

This vacation home was awesome! Our stay was amazing. We had a family vacation: 10 adults and 2 children (ages 1 and 2). While the home is rather expensive, it boasts everything you see in the photos to a T. The price would be the only 2nd thought I would have about rebooking. Having the personal/private pool was one of the highlights, for sure. The photos don't show it, but there is a nice patio table/chairs next to the pool with a couple lounge chairs, also. The beach is literally right across the street; you just walk a few steps down the sidewalk and cross the street to reach a beach shelterhouse! Location is great, and there are alot of things to do in the area within 10 minutes or much less (restaurants, putt-putt, shopping, etc). There is also a Walmart about 7 minutes away. The home is beautifully decorated and up-to-date; it's exactly as you see in the photos. While the master bedroom on the 2nd floor is amazing and huge, the remaining 2nd and 3rd floor bathrooms were a bit small. But, the house gives plenty of room to spread out and have a little of your own privacy. We even used 2 of the walk-in closets as a 'room' for the baby beds. We had only a few minor maintenance items we reported upon arrival, but nothing that needed fixed promptly. The refrigerator takes awhile to get cold, no matter what you put in it. We also had a little mix up with our check-in time, but the customer service rep was very friendly and we got in by 4pm. There is a safety feature of an alarm that sounds when the pool doors are opened, which I liked since we had 2 young toddlers. To avoid this annoyance for the adults, though, we just used the front porch door to enter the pool through the gate. I would definitely stay here again, or recommend to anyone! I'm sad I'm not still there!

Great place, location wonderful just a few steps to the beach. When we arrived we completed a thorough inspection of the home and found some minor glitches, at that point we contacted customer service and the were there immediately. Can wait to go back!

Eight adults traveled to this home from Ohio and Georgia for a family member's wedding. With a television in each bedroom and balconies on each floor, it offered the perfect balance of space and comfort. We had a few "hiccups", but each incident was handled quickly and professionally. Southern Vacation Rentals is a trusted management company, and we plan to consider them again when our need for a Destin rental arises. We liked the idea of having a company behind the rental as opposed to renting from an individual (i.e., Vrbo). Southern Resorts was much more accommodating with our specific dates needed than were the individual owners. We have used Vrbo in the past and have a good experience, but we really liked Southern Vacation Rentals customer service. The location of this rental is a bit noisy as it is directly on Scenic 98. While we would have liked to keep our windows open at night to hear "nature", there was just too much street noise. There were a few things wrong with the house, like a loose towel bar and missing toilet roll bar in one of the bathrooms, but this was not brought to my attention until the day we were leaving. Otherwise, the house suited our needs exceptionally well. The main complaint we have about this rental is that the pool is not heated. It would be nice if the owners would install a heater, or at least have an insulated pool cover, so that renters in the non-summer months could also enjoy the pool.

We stayed a week over spring break 2012. There were 10 of us in our extended family, so each set of 2 got their own bedroom, bathroom, and TV, which worked out well. One couple in the group was older, one with a walker, so they stayed in the first floor king bedroom with no problems. We had some very minor issues at check in, (ie: tv hookup in living room) which they fixed within 12 hrs. We stayed in the master bedroom (2nd floor) which was wonderful. Loved the soft carpet in all the bedrooms. All kitchen supplies were there except rubber spatula. Just as FYI, the doors that go to the pool have an alarm every time you open them, which has a button to stop, but only on the inside. Our kids there were age range of 8-13, so we ended up using another door and going around, since it got annoying after the first day. Of course with younger kids this is important. Like this house because you can see the ocean without paying the premium of ocean front. Third floor bedroom and master bedroom are the 2 with ocean view. Beach front homes are nice, but this is next best thing at a third of the price. Video shows older furniture and Tv's, but both have been updated. Photo of house is from the back. Next time I will bring a rubber spatula, hand towels, and basket coffee filters! Would definitely recommend, we had a wonderful time, and house is close to everything!

Southern Vacation Rentals make it easy. We rented from others in the past but came back to Southern Rentals for the ease of everything. The Crystal Seas is the perfect location and the perfect size for an extended family of 12. We all decided to book this same house every year from now on

This was a roomy home with a good kitchen, both aspects we were looking for with an even parent to child ratio. There were a few items missing as there always are, and we were a little disappointed that Southern Home Vacation Rentals did not address these, but said the owner was responsible for them. They did not give us a way to contact the owner to resolve them, so you can thank us for the potholders. In every other respect Southern Home Vacation Rentals was the most responsive and professional rental agency I have dealt with - I would look for houses with them again. The home itself is in an excellent location, across the street from the official beach access, which is also pretty nice - covered, picnic tables, bathrooms and showers. There is also a sand access point maybe even a little closer than the official beach access, so getting there and back was pretty easy. The bedrooms are roomy, as is the living area, and the kitchen worked well for families that love to cook. We did have a bit of a problem with the refrigerator, but Shvr got someone out to look at it quickly. The pool is little smaller than it looks, but was sufficient. It is also *not* saline, as advertised. Chlorine is used for the shock. This was not a problem for us, but it is listed as saline, so if that's important to you, be forewarned.

There were enough pubic and private spaces that everyone was comfortable.

Seems the place should've had coffee filters, paper towels, at least one dishwasher tablet per day and maybe salt and pepper. We were provided 2 dishwasher tablets for a 3 night stay (and nothing else). Otherwise, absolutely fantastic. We're looking forward to staying at one of your properties next year.

Close to the beach. House was very nice. Had plenty of room for the kids to roam. Have three grandchildren, all below two years old. They loved the pool! The 5 bedrooms were great for our three sons and their families. Kitchen/dining area is very large and was the gathering place for all. Could use more towels in the rooms. The only issue we had was loss of internet.Service was terminated due to the sale of the home to new owners. Issue was never resolved during our stay. Southern Resorts did issue a credit for the lack of internet. Property manager was less than concerned about the issue. Adrian at Southern Resorts was excellent in attempting to resolve issue.

We stayed here back in May 2009. The place was great and of course we locked ourselves out. Southern Resorts quickly let us back in. Great location to the beach. Only had to cross one road to get there. It was kind of cool when we went but still managed to get in the pool. Unfortunatley it was not one that was heated. Defintely recommend using Southern Resorts and staying at the Crystal Seas.

The service was great and the home had plenty of room. The only thing I didn’t like was that we had to leave. Awesome time !

CRYSTAL SEAS WAS A VERY NICE PLACE TO VACATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. LOCATED CONVIENT TO BEACH, SHOPPING AND EATERIES. HAOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN AND EASY TO COOL. SPACIOUS BUT COZY. BEST VOTE FOR THIS PROPERTY IS THAT WE'VE STAYED IN DESTIN FOR THE PAST 8+ SUMMERS AND THIS WAS THE NICEST PROPERTY WE'VE INHABITED. NICE ENOUGH THAT WE ALREADY BOOKED IT FOR NEXT SUMMER.

Our entire family: my husband and I, 2 married daughters and their families (5 grandchildren) loved this house and location. The rooms were spacious with large closets---the baby had her own sleeping quarters in 1 of the closets away from the noise. We loved having the pool and being so close to the beach....so convenient. Southern Resorts provided great service. They allowed us to check in early which was wonderful for our little ones who needed naps after traveling. We did have some air conditioner issues that were attended to promptly, but we forgot to tell maintainance that the doorknobs on all of the outside doors were very hard to operate and were frustrating to use. That issue needs to be corrected and the house would merit 5 stars. We had a great time and hope to return!

We had plenty of room for our extended family to eat and visit around the pool and in the eating sitting area. Each family had plenty of privacy with roomy bedrooms and baths. When we had a problem it was quickly resolved to a high degree of satifaction. We hope to return.
