Coral Reef #48 ~ Destin Florida Vacation Condo

This is a perfect place for a family to enjoy a beach vacation. There isn't much living space, so probably only about 6-8 people maximum. The bedrooms were comfortable, but it is all about the location. You can't beat beach access 30 seconds from your front door.

This was our first visit to the Destin area and had a wonderful time. Being from NC we are used to the gray, bland beaches. The white sand and emerald water was fantastic. Our children (17, 15, and 12 year old twins) had a great time as well. The unit was perfectly located and wonderfully functional. The unit had everything we needed. The location was perfect with no crowds and the staff was friendly. The early check in option was a great feature and the keyless lock was wonderfully convenient. We have found a new favorite destination and will definitely be back in 2012.

Great condo...but are there ghosts between the walls or a nasty neighbor? Awaken at 3 am on the first night to horrible pounding between the walls upstairs...teenagers scared that someone was coming through the walls! Then I recieved a complaint call from the managment the next day..stereo-typing the teenagers with me! Which the boys are upstanding and responsible...who's to say the guy next door was beating his wife or other?..never did find out the cause of the racket. Otherwise the condo was nice, roomy enough for grandma and family. I would rent this unit again. Thanks

My stay was made enjoyable from the first call I made to book my reservation. The customer service I received was amazing at every point I contacted your company. I called a day after making the reservation to cancel because we realized it was not the city we wanted to stay at, an hour late I called back requesting to un-cancel my reservation. Having worked in customer service I know this would have normally caused frustration amongst many, but Southern Resorts employees showed now frustration and were very accommodating to my request. I even received a follow up call confirming my reservation had been reinstated. We arrived a day early and called to see if there was any possibility of getting into the condo early, something we did not really expect to happen. We were told we could get in that day and arrangements were made to accommodate us. The only complaint we would have is that the condo beneath us had someone smoking inside the condo and that made the condo we were in smell like an ash tray. My calls about this were responded to by telling me the occupant may smoke on the balconies and that is where the smell is coming from. This was not the case as we never witnessed the person on the balcony, nor was the smell ever strong outside. The smell was strongest in the middle of the condo, not the areas closest to the outside balconies. The smell was so strong that our clothes and luggage even smelled like smoke when we arrived home.

There was no recliner to put my feet up after walking the beech all day. Pool area lacks a hot tub. Pool cover needs to be restored for cool days and when it rains. Kids can swim under cover when they turn purple from overexposure on the beech and still enjoy Florida trip outside/inside.ceiling fan in Master never worked, hard to get comfortable with little air flow.. furniture too soft and uncomfortable. Beech great. view great. state park fantastic barrier to spring break crowd. family environment. access to I-10 via bridge. Close to eating and shopping. fantastic sunrise & sunsets. Well patrolled beeches. I will return and have been since 1994!

We enjoy this type of condo best . Because it is a not a high rise building.Even in peak season it is not crowed. Every unit has great views of the beach. You can sit on the balcony and hear the ocean. I love the beach chair service . Beds are a little unfcomfortable. . We spend a few weeks a year in Destin. We have stayed at many different places. We rented hear twice, and would most likely come back. It is our family favorite ! Great place !

This condo was very good. All appliances, cabinets, furniture, fixtures, etc were nearly new and of very good quality. The location can't be beat.. Right next door to the Henderson Beach State Park so there's lots of private beach available. My only complaint is that for the price you should get free use of a beach umbrella and a couple of chairs. Pretty irritating to be asked to pay $10 per day. But, there were a couple of breach chairs in the condo that were really appreciated. Overall, this was the best stay we've ever had in Destin.

It was awesome to wake up to an ocean view every morning, and watch the sunsets from our balconies. If you are lucky, as we were, you will see dolphins and their babies feeding at dusk, and the plankton in the water turned the white caps of the ocean flourescent green in the evenings for 3 nights (apparently a "rare" thing). The office staff was very helpful, and allowed us to check in for our flights from their computers. Just wish we could have stayed a week or two more!

Amazing ocean views with sunrises we couldn't miss. Location is perfect at the end of a quiet street with the ocean just steps away from the building. Plenty of room to spread out with good amenities. It was an awesome girls getaway with all of us planning on returning next year already!! Completely and totally satisfied with our experience***

What a wonderful time we had. This condo is so comfortable, decorated so nicely, and provides plenty of sleeping space without feeling cramped. We enjoyed the time on the beach so much and hope to be able to do so again. Thank you so much for everything!!
