Casa del Sol ~ Miramar Beach Pet Friendly Beach Home

We liked everything about Casa Del Sol. Very short walk to beach very convenient to everything. We loved having every HBO channel and were able to catch up on our favorite shows. The fact that it is pet friendly was such a relief to us and the pet deposit was much cheaper than if we had boarded our dog. It was extremely clean! Extremely comfortable. Loved parking in the garage and having a cool car to get in for running around. Pay no attention to any minor complaints in a few of the other reviews unless you are a knit picky person in which case there are other more expensive rentals to chose from which from my experience also have minor wear and tear but nothing to write home about. I will choose casa del sol first and be sad if it's unavailable for my future visits to Florida. Enjoy :-)

The floorplan of the home is quite comfortable and functional. Its well located with a low traffic 2 block walk to the beach and one block walk to grocery and other retail. Good for kids with no need for car travel to either. The views aren't great but so what. Could benefit nicely with an eating patio set (i.e. 4 chairs and a table) to replace the three aging teak lounge chairs.Could also use a little "light" maintainance to attach a loose toilet paper holder, magnetic strip for shower door closure, etc. all minor nusances at most. Unit supplies seem a bit anemic with one roll of TP per location, no salt/pepper even. Loved the keypad security system making remote office check-in obsolete. Would certainly stay there again

This was my first time renting a house and going on vacation across the states. They gave us a great deal on the house. It was in a great location and we loved the house. The house had everything we needed and the we even got to use the gas grill. The only thing that we didn't like was that we couldn't really take showers at the sametime so that made it kind of time consuming. Overall great!!! I would recommand this company to anyone.

The beds could be updated. They were not as comfortable as they could be. We were not prepared for the "Cactus" in the small backyard. We also were surprised that the balcony overlooked the Regions Bank. Overall, everything else was great!!

We enjoyed the vacation very much. House was within walking distance of beach, shopping and grocery store.. The house was very clean . The only thing is that they turn off the refrigertor and it takes up to 24 hours for it to cool again.. That was a problem since we had shopped for food that needed to be cooled and had a problem first night keeping it cool..Would have been nice if refrigerator was cold when we arrived..

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Southern Resorts and that is why we continue to use them for our vacation rentals.

The house was great where it was. We were able to walk to the beach,Souveneir shops,outlet mall,and grocery store.Being in our fifties this was nice to not have to get in the car and drive.The only thing negative was the master bed was so hard that it was hard to get comfortable to sleep and the outdoor furniture is awful,only three wood chairs and no table,couldn't even have family there outside and the gas grill was so nasty, looked like it was never cleaned, took almost an hour to clean it.We would still rent for the location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was close to shopping, eating, and the grocery. We were so pleased to be able to bring our dog. Each time I looked for something in the kitchen, it was right at my fingertips. The fenced yard was a great plus. We were able to grill outside with the grill & propane provided. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to use our computer. I can't stress enough how enjoyable our stay in this home was for us.

This rental was even better than anticipated. Within walking distance to the beach. The house was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time off. I was very satisfied with casa del sol

I loved the location, the house, but the guest bedroom matress was really bad, not confortable at all, could not sleep, but I've heard the master bed. matress was very confortable. Customer service at Souther Resorts Rentals was really good. Thank you and I'll be using your services in the future.

The house was convenient to the beach and shopping. Would stay again. The only thing is the weather could have been better! Will not stay in August again!

All went well, although, in the search for a place in Destin I encountered an average night stay of around $250 to $300. When I came across this place I couldn't believe my eyes to see 3 nights add up to $650, what a deal. In my experiences I know better than to believe what I see, but sure enough, it was real. As I continued to search,(with the thought that something must be wrong with this place), I returned to the site and continued to research. Once I decided to continue thru to the reservations step, I finally found out the entire truth. Once you reserve the house and need to enter your payment, the site added the tax($90), cleaning/service fees($180), & a $40 cancellation insurance which brought the total to $940. Right back to the average for Destin. So don't be fooled by the initial low estimate. This company could qualify the additional charges up front. The other mistake I made was to use Google street view to drive by the place. Once I found the address, I drove by and was very impressed. Once I arrived though, I found that this unit is behind the one that faces the street. This is another small piece of information the company could offer up front. The picture of Casa del Sol is taken from the parking lot of an adjacent property(Regions Bank) and gives the impression that is from the street(Norwood Dr.) These issues are not show stoppers. The house was as advertised by the pictures on the website. We would recommend this house to anyone staying in Destin. We split the cost between 3 families. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

This home was perfect for our stay! The location was so ideal because it was on a semi-private road that led you to the beautiful beach only about 200 yards away...easily walkable back and forth. Also, just next to the house is a surf shop that you can get everything you need for the beach. Across the street, there is a grocery store, ice cream store, and the Silver Sands outlet mall is also within walking distance. These all made our stay so convenient! The house was very clean and everything was in good working order. The mattresses were all a little firm, but good enough for a night's rest. There is a room that is kept locked for the owner's supplies and I am curious to know if it is larger than the room with the twin/trundle, since that room is pretty small. Maybe my only suggestion would be to open up that room for guests instead with another larger bed option? Overall, this house was perfectly suited to our needs, and I would definitely stay here again on another visit to Destin!

The house was great; very clean; lots of room; master bedroom suite is very nice with 2 huge walk-ins & large bathroom; slept 8 adults comfortably (although sofa sleeper & trundle bed are a little awkward); all 3 bedrooms are upstairs (steps can be tough for seniors); nice outdoor grill; great kitchen with almost all utensils you need; 3 TVs with DISHnet & DVD player; walk across the street to Winn-Dixie (groceries) or Dollar General (hardly needed our car); beach is 2 blocks away Turn-offs: difficult to find, especially at night (located right behind the Regions bank) should have a sign with 'Casa del Sol' on the front of the house & on street patio furniture could be better and more comfortable previous occupants left a huge amount of trash next to garage for us to deal with (Southern Resorts should have taken care of this before we arrived) Overall, a great rental house with lots of space. Definitely will rent again!!

A nice clean place with garage. Rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen has every instrument you need, but bring Salt/pepper ect. Has small fenced back yard with BBQ Grill. Even thought it rained everyday, we had a great time. Make sure you check out the docks, and AJ's. There is always something to do in Destin.

This house is very spacious, beautiful and at a great location. It is only about a block from the sand and it is at a quiet location. My family and I had a wonderful time and we fell in love the house. We recommend it if you are looking for the perfect retreat vacation!

took 5 adults, 2 kids had a great time. only thing we needed the bunk beds that were pictured on line, instead we had a trundle bed. just a stone throw from the beach and shopping at the mall.

I stayed there for a week and loved it... It was one of the best vacations I've ever had and I will stay there again!

The house was beautiful, close to beach, and very clean. The house was so much more than the pictures showed. But what made this trip was the customer service of Southern Resorts. I would highly recommend any properties of Southern Resorts. We plan to return again.

We just spent a wonderful week at the Casa del Sol House and had a fantastic time. This was our first time renting a vacation home and we highly recommended if you have a family and are looking for a 'homey' vacation. The house was a short walk to the beach which made it easy for us as we we had our 2 year old todler and I was 8 months pregnant, anytime one of us wanted to go home to rest it was nice knowing we were a few min. away from home. We'd definitely recommend this house - especially if you're bringing kids and want to spend a lot of your vacation at the beach. We cooked, grilled outside and ate out, we did a little of everything. Our dog Chopp also enjoyed hte stayed as looking for a pet friendly home was not easy. We'll probably be back next year. My advice is to bring some board games with you as we didn't even think about it and end up buying some while we were there. Enjoy!!

We stayed for 8 days and absolutely loved the house. The decor was very tasteful and my hubbie loved the big TV. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
