Beach Club 1603 | Pensacola Beach Condo

We planned our trip almost a year ago and reserved this gorgeous condo on Pensacola Beach, Fl. We were extremely happy with the room, the view and the service we received from Southern Vacation rentals. Our kids loved playing on the beach and in the pool. We appreciated that there was both an indoor and outdoor pool available to us as well as a gorgeous beach just a short walk away. We felt that everything was advertised honestly, and the room was just as we expected. We only had a couple of minor complaints. One was that the beds were terrible!!! I'm 26 weeks pregnant, and the bed was so poor, my back and neck were killing me. I hardly slept the entire week. My parents, who stayed in the other room with a king, also had a very hard time sleeping on their bed. It seems to me that for the cost of these rooms, a nicer mattress could be provided. Secondly, we planned to put our two children (age 3 and 5) in the room with the bunk beds. However the lower bunk bed did not have a safety rail, which is a huge problem with our mobile sleepers! In addition, the floor was tile, making for a very dangerous situation. We had to move the furniture around to make a safe sleeping arrangement for our five year old. Removable safety rails are inexpensive and can be stored in the closet. Having one available would have been a huge help. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and a very relaxing vacation! We would use Southern Vacation Rentals again and would recommend them to our friends and family.

We have stayed at the Beach Club three times, and 1603 is the nicest yet. Well equipped kitchen, baths and living areas made our stay comfortable. Am convinced that the professional management company does a better job of upkeep than absentee owners. Thank you.

Check in/check out was very simple. The condo was very spacious and nice, appliances were top of the line, and beds were comfortable. We had eight people (four adults, four kids) and didn't feel crowded. It was also very quiet, with the exception of the bar across the street. They played until very late on the weekends, and were quite loud, even 16 stories up. We kept the ceiling fan on to deaden the noise. It wasn't obvious until everyone was in bed. Nice patio furniture (table/chairs, chaise and cushioned couch/rocker) on a clear pane balcony. Great view of the beach (including dolphins, rays and a lone little shark each day). Washer and dryer worked great, and we used them often. Plenty of storage space, bunk beds were a hit with the kids. The internal walls were a bit thin, but I'm sure that was mainly due to tile flooring throughout (with a smattering of area rugs). It is the beach after all. Downsides/warnings include it takes a bit of navigating to get to the beach (down through the garage, or cutting through the indoor pool). The indoor pool was only open to families from 12 - 6, the rest of the time was for adults only. Neither pool allowed diapers of any kind, though we did see some kids who probably should have been (or were indeed wearing) diapers. The only other downside was the amount of locked areas requiring a code (code to get into the parking lot, code to get into the lobby, code to get into the elevator, code to get into the gym, code to get onto the beach, code to get to the indoor pool, you get the idea). We felt very secure, but it was also a hassle, especially with only two pass keys. I was concerned because I had read a previous review where someone had issues with cleanliness. The condo was very clean for us, no problems whatsoever. Some in our party are very particular about cleanliness, and they had no complaints at all. The bathrooms and kitchen (two possible problem areas) were both immaculate. We will definitely be back.

The entire week was delightful. The property is well kept and the unit was very nice. It was especially nice to have a large quanity of dishes, bowls, glasses and cookware in the unit. It made meal preparation easy. The properties indoor pool and gym are exceptional.

Beach Club is the most beautiful facility on the beach! There was nothing overlooked when building this facility. Even the paved parking lot was impressive. The workers were all friendly, helpful and pleasant to talk to. The condo we stayed in was beautiful and it had all the accommodations, utensils, appliances, and comforts of home you need. The view of the gulf was breathtaking. We were close to the pier, boardwalk shops, and restaurants. We will definitely return.

The accommodations were exactly as described - anything you needed was in the unit and it was extremely comfortable. This unit uses the indoor space to its fullest - allowing space for everyone. From our 90 year old great-grandma to our 6 year old - everything was perfect for everyone. Beach Club is the best place to stay on Pensacola - location, pool, exercise equipment, etc. We had a problem with the refrigerator but it was repaired within hours and the management followed up to make sure everything remained satisfactory. The separate ice maker in the unit was priceless when packing a cooler everyday! We will be back - to Beach Club and to unit #1603!
