Ariel Dunes II ~ Florida Beach Destin Vacation Condo

We had a wonderful stay at ariel Dunes II. The facility was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our condo was very clean and nicely laid out. The walk to be beach was only a short distance, however, if you have a lot of stuff to carry you should drive around and park on the seawall (it's free) for easy access. I think Southern Vacation Rentals should throw in an umbrella and chairs for at least a couple of days. That can get a little pricey, we had our own chairs. Umbrellas are $20, umbrella and chairs is $40. If you book directly through ariel Dunes you get free rental every day. Overall, an excellent trip!

Nice building and great location, within walking distance to shops and resturants both on and off of the property.

Very nice accomodations. Fourth of July weekend and lots of families were in residence and yet things were surprisingly quiet--loved that. Nothing disturbed my sleep at night, which I consider a bonus. Great view of ocean, particularly given that you're across the road. Two of our party felt that the walk to the beach was a little long when hauling chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler; however, we remedied that by loading our stuff into the car and parking on the street adjacent to beach. Will definitely return and use Southern Resorts. Check-in/check-out was easy.

This was our first family vacation to Florida. I have not one negative thing to say about the whole experience! I would book with Southern Resorts again and I would stay in adii #1106 again!

We enjoyed our stay! The condo was just right for two people. It was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning to book for September 2011! This will be our vacation spot every year! I also enjoyed the fact that there is a zero tolerance for pets! Once again we enjoyed our stay!!!

We were very pleased with Ariel Dunes II, #1106. It was everything wanted for a relaxing weekend.

Very clean,good location (just walk down to the beach), good matress, all you need for cooking. The only bad thing, our beedroom window give to the hall way, you woud hear people from there, which can be a problem if you plan to sleep late.

Our room was very nice and had everything we needed, EXCEPT the booking agent said all we would need to bring was beach towels. I was very disappointed to find there was not a hair dryer in the room. I know this wasn't a hotel where they have the hair dryers bolted to the walls, but I was without a hair dryer for three days and did not like the flat look at all!! The only thing I can really "complain" about, though, is that the air return vent by the front door was absolutely filthy with accumulated dust--I guess your cleaning service doesn't look up--and we found trash behind the couch when we pulled it away from the wall to store our blankets after we used the couch for sleeping purposes. Other than that, the place was very nice, as were the pools. We didn't really care for the beach area itself because of all the metal monstrosities erected there (waiting for canopy rentals??)--they were very unsightly--but I realize that is out of your control. Although we don't plan to return to Destin, your room was, overall, very nicely decorated and comfortable, had all the kitchen equipment we needed as well as plenty of bath towels. (Just ask your cleaning crew to look at the vent--it really was gross and a stark contrast to the rest of the unit.) Thank you.

Our stay at Ariel Dunes II was wonderful. Southern Resorts made our vacation hassle free and they do have the best rates in town. We did not have to spend any time in line because we did not have to check in. With keyless entry and prepayment we went straight to our room. The view from the condo was breathtakingly beautiful. It was such a good feeling to wake up to see the gorgeous blue water and white sandy beaches of Destin from our balcony. A short walk through the tranquil pond area and across the street to the beach made the location worthwhile. Our condo was tastefully decorated, very clean and spacious. The appliances were in new condition and we had ample kitchen appliances. The bedding was great in the bedroom, but the only complaint was the sofa bed. It could have been softer. There wasn't a wait for the elevator and we were on the eleventh floor. Traffic wasn't bad getting in and out of the resort from either entrance. Shopping in the area was great and you are minutes from the outlet as well as Destin Commons. Pompano Joes Restaurant was excellent as usual. We definitely want to return to Destin and specifically to Ariel Dunes through Souther Resorts.
