5 O Clock Somewhere ~ Destin Vacation Home

Wonderful home. Nice place and amazing destination.

We had a perfect week away at this house. Two blocks from a private beach, easy walk to pompano joes and the boardwalk. Great owners, friendly service. Perfect for large families, or in our case, 3 twenty something couples...

The house is located just a few hundred yards from the beautiful beach. It is very tastefully furnished and has got ample of space for a large family.

Our stay at 5 O'Clock Somewhere was great! We had 2 families staying there, a total of 7 people and it could have slept more. The upper floor was so spacious as was the kitchen and living room area. Walmart and grocery stores were not far away and there was a CVS on the corner for quick trips. The outlet mall was also really close by. In walking distance was Pompano Joe's, Alvin's Island surf shop, as well as others. We ate at Pompano Joe's one night and used their call ahead seating. We waited at the house for a bit, then walked over to avoid having to park and were seated within 5 mins of arriving. Nights were spent on the upper patio, or around the large coffee table playing dominos or just relaxing in the comfy couches watching Shark Week (not advised while at the beach I may add ;) The walk to the beach is not long. Many days we would go down in the morning with all our stuff and leaving it down there to come back to the house for lunch and then later after dinner go back down and enjoy the sunsets on the beach and bring everything back to avoid hauling stuff back and forth too much. We also had an all Terrain Wagon so our toddler didn't have to walk to the beach every day. It was hard to haul it down the stairs at the beach access but down by Pompano Joe's is a public beach access with a ramp. We used it on the last day and wished we would have done so earlier in the week. The farther walk was worth it with the wagon. All in all we had a great stay at this house and would recommend it to others. The pictures accurately reflect how nice the house is and the owners go to great lengths to keep this house clean and up to date. Plus they were willing to work with us to meet our families needs while we stayed in their house. We did have a very minor issue with Southern Resorts (a misunderstanding) after our stay but the home owner helped to resolve our issue very quickly and all was perfect.

Things we love: . Large 2400 sqft house. . Very clean house . Balcony . Beautiful bedrooms, espicially the master. . Beautiful Tile floor . Large kitchen . Bbq gas grill (need to bring lighter since the starter is out) . Not too far from beach (few minutes walk) We had great time there and i don't have any real complaint about this beautiful house.

Loved 5 O'clock Somewhere!! Perfect location, perfect accomodations - couldn't have asked for a better week or a better setting for our vacation.

It is a very nice lodging place, spacious and quiet. Very close to beach and grocery store.

Had a great time in Destin last week at 5 O'Clock Somewhere. They had a gas grill that is not mentioned in the description so no need to bring your own. Two blocks from Beach access. Only complaint about location is that you are right next to Holiday Road which can get some fast traffic occasionally and loading kids in and out of car sometimes was a concern because I was afraid they may run out in the street. Not a major concern and definitely should not be a reason not to stay here! Huge house with plenty of room for everybody literally a couple minutes from the beach.

Everything was so close to the property: beach, groceries, shopping, fun, restaurants! We couldn't have asked for a better place to say for our first trip to Destin. The home was huge and comfy. Best of all, the children had a blast! Can't wait to book our next trip!

This beach house is exceptional. We absolutely loved it. It was kid friendly in every way and the owners were a joy to deal with. You can feel the love in their home.

Liked the house so much, we've already booked for next July. Very comfortable & nicely decorated. Husband & I loved the master~very relaxing! Kitchen has tons of counterspace and very well equipped for a vacation home. Very short walk to beach, yet close to all the shopping and restaurants. My only complaints would be some issues I had trying to get a few issues resolved w/Southern Resorts before we ever got there. Hard to get a timely response. There was also no phone book, which makes it a little hard to find places & phone numbers, even w/our GPS. We had 3 teenagers w/us that were able to walk to places & they had a great time to. We all had a great time and can't wait to come back to the Destin area and this house again next year!

We spent a week at this home with two families with children. The house was comfortably appointed and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. Very short walk to the beach, even with toddlers, and was centrally located to shopping and attractions in the area. Only thing we missed, that owners should seriously consider, is having a grill (either gas or charcoal)...was the one thing we all agreed was a big oversight. Otherwise, we were very happy with the home and would recommend it to friends.

We found 5 O'Clock Somewhere to be very clean and well kept. We thought the house was not far from the beach. Our over all experience was great. The only problems we saw was not enough toilet tissue left for the occupants. The area was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We had three children with us, 2 thirteen and 1 nine year old. they loved the bedrooms and the house. Before we arrived, no one checked to see if the grill's gas tank was filled. We had to call to get someone to come with a new tank. The gril also had not been cleaned after the last person used it. Over all I would stay again at this location.

This was our 3rd year staying at 5 O'Clock Somewhere with Southern Resorts the stay is just as good as the first time. This house is wonderful. The location is within walking distance to the beach, short drive to dining and shopping. The house is very spaceous and feels more like a home than a vacation rental/hotel. The rooms are warm and inviting, maybe too inviting! The living room furniture is so comfy we wouldn't want to get up to go anywhere. This house a great layout, huge kitchen with everything you could need (minus food) and bathrooms are very nice. The only negative thing I could say about the house itself is the shower heads could be upgraded. Other than that this is a great house, I would buy it if I could! I can't wait to return.

we really enjoyed our stay, the house was terrific ,kitchen is big all you need in kitchen were provided for, the rooms were cozy and we feel just like we're at our own home.The service was superb, no hassles in check in and check out.The house is near the beach, grocery store/wet market, shops and restaurants. The only regret we had was that we only stayed 3 nights when there's a lot of things to do in Destin.We love parasailing and the wave runners. Next time we will stay longer and for sure I will recommend the house to my friends.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at 5 O'Clock Somewhere. The house was bright and cheerful. It had everything you needed and felt just like home. I would stay here again. The location and amenities were wonderful. We were walking distance from the beach. The washer and dryer makes packing very easy. The proximity to eating establishments and shopping were close by.

We loved this house. It was nice and spacious and short walk to the beach. Would defintely recommend to others!!!!

We stayed in this home for a family gathering, it was comfortable and slept 8 comfortably. Just down the street from the beach. Would definitely recommend.

Definatly recommend this house to anyone who is wanting to visit Destin. It is a quick walk from the beach. Very nice, spatious house to stay in with friends or family. It is not in the middle of all the craziness but just outside of it and still close drive to all the party areas.
