22nd Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Pow Wow

The 22nd Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Pow Wow will be taking place this November 6-8 at the Niceville Mullet Festival Grounds.  Friday will include children’s time from 9am-2pm and the Pow Wow featuring tribal dance will begin @ 7pm. 

Saturday will feature crafts, more competitive dancing and exhibitions.  Sunday will feature church service, more dancing and the announcing of competition winners.

Ironman Triathlon in Panama City Beach

Iron Man FloridaWhat are you doing this weekend?  For almost all of us, the very thought of a triathlon is exhausting.  The physical ability displayed and physical punishment these athletes go through is amazing.  It’s also a worthwhile experience for any spectator.

On Saturday November 7, head to Panama City Beach for the Ironman Triathlon.  Racers will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles.  The event will be preceded by days of check ins, registration, shops and more.  However, come 4:30am on Saturday morning, body marking will begin.  The actual race will have a pro-start at 6:50am.  For more information check out the Iron Man Florida website.   The race begins on South Thomas Drive in front of the Boardwalk Beach Resort.

Destin History and Fishing Museum

 

The 25th anniversary of Destin will be celebrated from November 1st through November 8th with half price admission at the Destin History and Fishing Museum. 

On Friday November 6th, there will be special activities at the museum and admission will be free.  Experience early Destin life, learn about its founders, observe photos and see artifacts through educational exhibits.  With over 4,000 sqaure feet of space, the museum always has plenty to offer.
