Take a step out from your Pensacola Beach vacation rental to enjoy the beauty of the night sky. The Escambia Amateur Astrononmers’ Association will offer free “stargazing” at the Gulf side Pavilion.

Around 20 telescopes of various strengths and sizes will be available. Duplicates of Galileo’s original telescope to the incredibly advanced large scoped equipment can be used to see Jupiter, the Milky Way galaxy and much more.

You can also get a closer look because video camera will be used with some of the telescopes to project images on monitors up to 100 times more clear than viewing the telescope with your eye alone. Free star charts and sky calendars will also be available.
