Pensacola Beach & Navarre Beach
A significant portion of Pensacola Beach from Park West (Fort Pickens gate) recreation area through walkover 23 (just west of Portofino) is closed to all swimming and wading until further notice. Clean up crews worked all day yesterday and through the night which has helped the beaches. But, more time is needed to continue cleaning the shoreline.

Fort Walton Beach
Besides a few isolated reports of tar balls which have been quickly cleaned up, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island have been looking great. It looks like it will be another gorgeous day along the beach. These beaches remain open without any health advisories.

Destin
A portion of Crystal Beach has been issued a health advisory in the immediate area of Crystal Dunes, Emerald Dunes & Crystal Villas due to some impacts from the oil spill.

Beaches of South Walton
Authorities have issued a temporary health advisory for swimming along a six mile stretch of beach in the Beaches of South Walton from the Miramar Beach access point eastward to the east end of Top Sail State Park. About 280 workers currently assigned to this section of beach quickly cleaned the affected areas overnight. Most of the Beaches of South Walton have not been impacted and all of the beaches remain open.

Panama City Beach
Panama City’s Beaches remain open without any health advisories. Only sporadic and small amounts of tar balls have been responded to by authorities. It  should be a beautiful day along these beaches.

Forgotten Coast
There have not been any impacts along the Forgotten Coast. I know I mention it everyday, but Scallop Season is in session and it definitely isn’t hard to do some scalloping. Checkout this area and maybe you would like to do some scalloping of your own?

I’m using the southernresorts.com website to see the daily blogs and it says there have been updates to add videos of the beaches but I don’t see where I can click to view any videos. How do you access the daily videos that are being taken?
