Pensacola’s hometown pirates, The Krewe of Lafitte will host their yearly illuminated Mardi Gras parade on Friday evening, February 12, 2010 in downtown Pensacola.  At 8:00 p.m.  the parade will start at the corner of Spring and Garden Streets and follow the traditional route of the parade. 

The Krewe of Lafitte’s illuminated Pirate Ships will be accompanied by other ships, floats, and marching units.  The event is sure to wow the revelers, so come celebrate Mardi Gras!  Join the band of rowdy pirates at the Krewe of Lafitte Mardi Gras Parade  and the greatest Pirate of them all, Jean Lafitte.
Handicapped parking will be available at the city parking lot on the southwest corner of Gregory and Palafox streets.  The parade may also be viewable from this location.
