The 20th Annual Lobster Festival & Tournament will be hosted in Panama City Beach by Schooners, “the last local beach club.”  Known as the largest lobster festival in all of Florida the festivities begin today September 17th and last through Sunday September 20th.  Divers and enthusiasts from across the country will have the chance to compete for a variety of lobsters with weigh-ins on Saturday and Sunday.  A lobster feast and large auction help round out the weekend on Sunday. 

Professional sand sculptors from Sanding Ovations will be entertaining the crowds and live music will be performed by Tony Syfrett and the Nashville Mafia, Arizona Band, and Nothing Short of Pure.  Proceeds from the event will benefit two local charities, Florida Aquatic and Marine Institute and the Toys for Kids Foundation.
