The 2009 Kingfish Tournament held in Mexico Beach of the Forgotten Coast is this weekend! The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association sponsors this 13th annual fishing event taking place on Saturday August 29, 2009.  However, registration and a Captain’s Party will take place on Friday August 28th at 5:00pm at the El Governor Motel.  Sausage, beer, and other food/drinks will be served along with door prizes to be given out starting at 7:00pm.  Pre-registration is available at Marquardt’s Marina in Mexico Beach, Half Hitch Tackle, and at Bluewater Outrigger both in Port St. Joe.  For a closer look at the event check out the video above from the 2008 tournament or click this link to their website.
