While you’re visiting the Gulf Coast and Southern Resorts be sure to check out the award winning musical, Beauty and the Beast.  Northwest Florida State College will present the Disney musical at 7:30 p.m. July 22-25 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.  The Mattie Kelly Arts Center is located on the Northwest Florida State College campus in Niceville, Florida.  It is about 20 minutes from Destin including a quick trip across the Mid-Bay Bridge and about 20 minutes from Fort Walton Beach.  

Tickets are $20 for Adults and $15 for kids ages 18 and under.  You can purchase tickets online here, by telephone (850) 729-6000, or at the box office in person.  The Box Office is open M-F from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to each evening’s performance.

If you can’t make the performance but would like to see Beauty and Beast characters in Destin there are two different opportunities. 

On Thursday July 16 at noon “Belle” will be reading stories to children at the Destin YMCA Summer Camp for about 30 minutes. 

You can also catch both Beauty and the Beast at Destin’s Harborwalk on Saturday July 18 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
