Pier Park in Panama City Beach, Florida welcomes children to come and see mock turtle nests and learn about these interesting creatures. Spend the afternoon on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the green grass area of the volleyball court learning about protecting the endangered species such as the Loggerhead Sea Turtle and the Green Sea Turtle that nest along the beaches from May through August.
With so many properties, including Southern Resorts Vacation Rentals sharing the beach with them, we all need to take great care. Teaching children is often the best approach and surely the most long lasting. A lesson like this will enlighten them as well enhance their memories of their Panama City Beach vacation in the process.
