Farm Day in Defuniak Springs Florida

We sure live in an area that has it all. Saturday my kids, their friends and I went to the annual farm day in Defuniak Springs. Not really knowing what to expect, we were happily surprised when we arrived. The whole event took place at a farm with lots of animals such as donkeys, horses, birds, pigs, sheep, you name it and it was there. Lexi, my three year old, loved playing in the buckets of corn. All children had an opportunity to experience the farm life and the day ended with a bon fire. Everybody brought a covered dish to share. With the hamburgers and hot dogs supplied, there were plenty of good food. I highly recommend to go there and bring your family next year.

Sunday, I went to the beach in Destin and, as always, it was beautiful. We had it all this weekend, experiencing both the farm life as well as the beach. I could not wish for anything else.

Did you happen to ride the hayride also? If so, you might have helped break the Guinness World Record for the largest hayride. The current record for Largest Hayride is 224 participants at an event in McKinney, Texas, on Feb. 18, 2007. With the help of 42 Fort Walton Beach High School ROTC students over 1,042 participants were counted.
