The saying about the ’calm before the storm’ is one we all know, but judging by this picture, taken last night & courtesy of our friends at Dewey Destin Seafood, it can come after one, too. We’ve had a wet, rainy weekend on the Gulf Coast, but all is well along the Gulf of Mexico shores so let’s go to the beach!
Many of you have called, commented on Southern’s Facebook and sent us tweets concerned about your upcoming Florida beach vacation after the seeing reports of the “Flooding on The Gulf Coast”. The media outlets are correct, we have had some flooding but it has been located in primarily northern areas of Pensacola, not Pensacola Beach, and to our west in Mobile, Alabama. This morning the sun is shining and the chance of rain decreases the closer we get to the weekend. So, pack your bags, grab your sunscreen and get ready for a great getaway to the beaches of Northwest Florida. We are still open for business!
